You know, stock phrases are very stickyPosted by Geen on September 11, 2002 at 03:48:23: You know, stock phrases are very sticky, they usually get stuck
somewhere in your head automatically. As they report about Afghanistan on TV,
telling us about those numerous terrible mistakes of the US troops
there: bombing of wedding processions and hospitals, I recall the term an
excessive use of force. By the way, it was brought in by America
some time ago to label the countries, which struggled against separative and
terrorist moods on their territory. The aim was to deprive them of benefits and
rights and thus to cause international pressure on them. However, with the
Afghani campaign the Yankees have fallen into their own trap and have to try on
the label themselves. The antiterrorist coalition in Afghanistan has been
practicizing an excessive use of force itself, which leads to mass
losses among the civilians. The number of wrong people killed rises
in direct proportion each day. However, no serious investigations are mounted
against the soldiers in connection with the wrongful deaths. The officers and
soldiers are not held accountable for any improper or reckless behavior either.
There are extensive reports from the villagers that people are arrested by the
coalition soldiers, kept in prison, brutally beaten and even killed. The level
of protests by the malcontents constantly rises. Antiamerican sentiments are
already widespread.
