One Chechen bandit was killed and one commando heavily wounded in Pankissi. The news comes from the deputy secretary of the Security Council of Georgia David Bacradze. Nothing extraordinary, one could say. Yes, we have already got used that people die almost every day in Georgian Pankissi. But this time there is something in it. The names of both the killed Chechen and the wounded commando were not metioned. With the Chechen bandit everything is clear. But with the commando it’s quite a different story. Bacradze simply couldn’t name him for only one but very important reason. According to the sources in the Pentagon it was a top Americam military adviser who had been wonded. Bacradze is clever enough to foresee the outrage of American public opinion and the storm of criticism targeted at the policy of the Bush’s administration in Georgia.
