I guess the meeting of the US commander

I guess the meeting of the US commander Franks with his Saudi Arabian colleague was meant to dispel the fears of Riyadh, which were caused by the information leaked from a secret Pentagon meeting. According to it Saudi Arabia was defined as America’s enemy state. There were plans to seize the country’s oil fields and arrest its accounts in foreign banks. In return Riyadh has demanded the withdrawal of 6 thousand US troops from its territory and refused to support Washington in any of its planned military operations against Muslim countries, including the one against Iraq. The gap between the two countries grows with each day and I am not sure America is able to change anything: Bush’s foreign policy is too bold and embarrassing.
