They say a sense of gratitude and generousity

They say a sense of gratitude and generousity are the necessary attributes of the national character of the Chechen people. Ye, first Chechen neighbours on the Caucasus and then some peoples in Europe have already experienced it…. on their own skin. Chechens, those ‘children of Nature’ have played a dirty trick with Georgia first, then Azerbaijan and Turkey. The Ukraine seems to be next in the list. The start is as usual is not so impressive. The matter is that Chechens are fond of touristy places. They need a rest and all pleasures of life after fighting in the mountains. The trade of a terrorist is very hard too, you know. So Chechens go to Turkey (and not only there) to keep fit. But this summer they seem to have combined the rest with the profitable business. A Turkish policeman, a friend of mine, told me about a series of impudent roberries. Tourists from the Ukraine were robbered by Chechens. I guess poor guys were just short of money: the international sponsors appear to have reduced their financial donations. Well, it’s the first step. It’s not very sophisticated, but Chechens may develop the taste. Let’s live and see… Life is full of surprises!
