Claim for Correction on UN Statistics:
Recalling the Chapter of the United Nations: Chapter I, The Purpose and Principles of the United Nations,
Article 1 sec.2 : To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples,
Article 1 sec.3 to achieve international co-operation in resolving international problems...respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms..
Article 2 sec.6: The organization shall ensure that States which are not Members of the United Nations act in accordance with
these Principles as far as may be necessary for the maintains of international peace and security. ( sovereign equality and good faith principles)
Article 2 sec.7 Nothing contained in the present Charter shall authorize the United Nations to intervene in matters which are essentially
within the domestic jurisdiction of any State ..( non- intervention principle )
Republic of China on Taiwan was a independent sovereign State since 1949 ( formerly in Mainland since 1911) and never belong to People's
Republic of China . The change of representation of China in 1971 did not change anything of the statehood of the two States .
Taiwan, which is now almost the whole territory of Republic of China , never be a province of PR China , and the most Taiwanese people are also not
subject to do so . It's very clearly that the UN Statistics over Taiwan which was classified into " Taiwan, Province of China " was incorrect,
and probably violating the Taiwanese sovereignty and the principles of international law in accordance to UN Charter.
In order to prevent possible misunderstanding over Taiwanese Identity and Independency , and damage of the rights which was caused there from according to the Responsibility of Organizations .
We hope that, the error on Statistics could be corrected as soon as possible , so far as the reputation and dignity of State Taiwan could be recovered .
Sincerely Yours
