'terrorism'Posted by stephen Fox on October 23, 2001 at 13:49:19: Three points I would like to note; the first is that law requires precision, and secondly with regard to the word 'terrorism', in his work on Political Terrorism, Alex Schmid noted that there were 109 definitions of the word. Indeed, the term itself has even been cited as a form of moralised name-calling. Furthermore, to say that international law needs to address terrorism, is like saying that international law needs to address poverty or violence - mere slogans. What indeed can law do over something that there is great dispute and disagreement? Suggestions greatly received.
