: i think that humanitarian intervention (hi) is a necessary action when it comes to a situation where a human right violations occured. it's true that hi has no legal basis whatsoever. but law is made to find the sense of justice in the society, so when a human lost or losing their right (to life) then it is right to impose a sanction (military action perhaps) to whom has violate that rights.when people said that hi only benefiting major power nations, well, we cannot always accused those nations as being only defending their interest, despite that those interest might exist, we should also consider the advantage of the intervention, a human right violations has stoped.
