Not only is the world in serious trouble, but we are unwilling to accept the fact that we have the beginnings of a system that could potentially fix it, the UN. We can shout to high heaven that this or that country is disobeying international law or principles but until we can develop a system to enforce these laws, they are usless. The UN provides us with a constitution for the world, one that all the laws of all the counrties in the world should be force to adhere to, but a constitution that is not respected, is used by corupt people, and is blatantly disregarded is a useless piece of paper. As we have seen time and time again, simply relying on the good will of countries to obey this "moral code" puts us all in jeopardy. Isolation doesn't work, so the only way to save us from destroying ourselves is to create AND ENFORCE a set of laws and principles for all nations to respect that allow for the growth and development of the human race. Thanks, Caitlin
