The main portal for information from the UN institutions and agencies and up-to-date information on UN policies and programs. Conventional but indispensable.

09. SPIRE Guide to Governments & Politics (Keele University, UK)

Immensely useful resource guide when information on governments and national politics is what you are looking for. Also contains links to constitutions, electoral systems and domestic & international media.

08. Multilaterals Project (Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University)

Provides online access to a vast number of multilateral conventions and other international instruments. If you are looking for the text of a global or regional treaty in electronic format, you most probably find it here.

07. University of Minnesota Human Rights Library

Probably the largest collection of human rights resources on the internet. The site covers more the 14.450 human rights documents, human rights research engines, an online catalog of human rights education resources, as well as links to training, field and job opportunities. Documents are available in Arabic, English, French, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish.

06. Project on International Courts and Tribunals(PICT)

PICT is a joint undertaking of the Center on International Cooperation, New York University, and the Centre for International Courts and Tribunals, University College London. Its website contains information on, and links to, all existing international courts and tribunals. Its news archive is updated daily.

05. RAVE (University of Düsseldorf, Faculty of Law)

Extensive data base covering recent publications (articles and decisions) on public international law and European law, starting with the year 1995. Permits, via hyper links, direct access to relevant material published on the WWW. Updated on a three-monthly basis.

04. Research Guide to International Law on the Internet (Massimo Magagni, University of Bologna)

Contains a wide range of selected and annotated international law links. User-friendly and comprehensive. A great starting point for international legal research on the internet.

03. Virtual Institute (Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law)

Contains the vast electronic offerings of the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg, including OPAC, the Online Public Access Catalog, with bibliographical references to books, periodicals and articles available at the library of the Institute.

02. ASIL Guide to Electronic Resources for International Law

One of the most comprehensive international law guides on the web. Continuously updated and expanded. Links visitors to the particularly useful Electronic Information System for International Law (EISIL).
